Weber Appointed President of NESC
The National Executive Service Corps (NESC) has appointed Elizabeth J. Weber as its new President, effective immediately. In this capacity, Ms. Weber, who is known as Betsy, will be responsible for all of NESC’s ongoing operations and future development.
Most recently, Ms. Weber served as Managing Director of EDGE Development Group, Inc., an international business consulting firm, where she led the firm’s practice in international economic development, working with government clients in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. Previously, she helped establish and co-directed a general business consulting firm in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, serving government and multi-national clients throughout the Arabian Gulf Region.
Ms. Weber has also been an active volunteer in the nonprofit world. She is a past-president of the Connecticut chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), and is currently Chair of the national organization’s International Forum. She has recently been appointed to an OECD task force that is developing programs to promote women’s entrepreneurship in 16 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. She is a graduate of Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, where she was a Wheaton Scholar.

Founded in 1977, the NESC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides management consulting and business advisory services to New York, New Jersey and Connecticut nonprofits and public sector organizations. NESC’s cadre of more than 400 senior-level consultants provides professional services in the fields of arts and culture, health and human services, public and private education, religion, and government. To date, more than 400 area nonprofits have benefited from NESC’s experience.
